Monument Valley 1973 – 75

Many of John Wayne’s iconic Westerns were filmed in Monument Valley Arizona/Utah.  These included “Stagecoach” (1939), “Fort Apache” (1948), “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon” (1949), “Rio Grande” (1950), and “The Searchers” (1956).  We date this mug based on the Ketchum Originals stamp and of note, this is one of the mugs with a gold “striped” handle.   This mug was produced in particular for a TV special John Wayne did with John Ford set in Monument Valley.

This is the most we've ever seen paid for this mug... the "record".   Average values are considerably less, usually less than half.

If you have any additional information about this mug, or any other John Wayne mug, please hit the "Contact" link and let us know.  We want to make the John Wayne Internet Mug Data Base (JW-IMDB) even better...
THANK YOU!
