Circus World 1964

Circus World is the first mug made by Hozan China in Yokohama(Japan).  This mug is a completely different style than the heavy Wallace mugs.  This mug is white, lighter and smaller(shorter) than the mugs used previously.   This is one of the rarest John Wayne mug’s, as we have “never” seen one sold at auction.   There is an example of the personalized version to the right.  The Circus World and In Harms Way mugs were made consecutively and were the only two mugs made by Hozan China.  These were also the first two mugs that were not hand painted, the graphics were applied in an automated process.
