The Sea Chase 1955
The Sea Chase is the eight mug Bob Williams made for John Wayne. All of the mugs Bob Williams made for Duke were done on the heavy Wallace mugs, this is once again one of the beige ones. The Sea Chase mug is interesting in that like the Hondo mug, Bob Williams included artwork on the back of the mug with the recipients names. Note Bob Williams had moved shortly before this mug was made as this was the first one to have the new 222 Occidental address on the bottom stamp.
